Susan T. Billington, M.A. CCC-SLP of Chevy Chase Speech Therapy has been diagnosing and treating speech, language and learning disorders in children and adults in the Washington D.C. area for nearly 20 years.
She obtained her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from George Washington University with a concentration in pediatrics. Her thesis published at GWU explored the relationship between communicative intent and temperament in toddlers. Prior to establishing a private practice, Mrs. Billington taught as an assistant professor in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences at GWU and worked as a clinical speech pathologist in hospital and school settings.
Currently, Mrs. Billington maintains a private practice specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of preschoolers and elementary school children with speech, language, learning and myofunctional disorders. Additionally, she works with adults on accent modification and business speech skills.
